Why it’s on my mat, every day
I have used so many Yoga mats in my Yogic life so far this one is the only one that i kept for a longtime, this mat sees more than 10 yoga classes per week plus 5 personal yoga practices and it keeps getting better.
I teach a lot of standing and floor work back-to-back, and the thing that sold me on the PROLite wasn't the eco-credentials — it was that it doesn't move. It's dense rather than spongy, so my standing balances stay stable instead of sinking. I own both the standard and the long one I use the ´Cross´ set up to be able to demonstrate in both directions at 200cm it's long enough that my feet and hands stay on the mat instead of the floor, even in longer stances.
Choose your length
- Standard — 180 x 61cm, 1.8kg. The original PROLite, right for most heights and easiest to carry.
- Long — 200 x 61cm, 2.1kg. 20cm longer, built for taller practitioners or anyone tired of hands and feet landing off the edge.
- Long & Wide — 200 x 76cm, 2.7kg. If you want extra room on both dimensions.
What you’re getting (all sizes)
- 4.7mm thick — enough cushioning for joints without feeling unstable underfoot
- Closed-cell surface, so sweat sits on top instead of soaking in — hygienic and easy to wipe down between classes
- Manduka's PRO Series Lifetime Guarantee — built to outlast a lot of ‘eco’ alternatives that break down in a year
- OEKO-TEX certified, latex-free, made without toxic emissions
One honest note: like most PRO-series mats, it needs a short break-in period before the grip fully develops. I use the salt-scrub method in the first few weeks — worth doing once rather than judging the mat on week one.
